Why Use Art To Talk About Animals

IS art the most effective form of animal activism? the reality is that art has an effect but it doesn't translate to as many people stopping their exploitation of animals as other forms of activism does. that does not mean that it is not important to continue to make art for the animals. artists who make work on this topic are hard to come by so we don't know how much of an effect it could really have, especially if more artists continue to support and create for the animals I'm sure it would cause change.

my work puts people in the position animals are put in, i do this because i think it is extremely shocking to people when they see their own species being hurt in the same ways they hurt animals, such as an animation of a bunch of babies being thrown into a meat grinder. I hope that that shock can transfer to the realization that this is what animals actually go through daily because of humans. what i think is important is to keep creating, even if it changes no one, i will continue to create, partially because i hope it will inspire someone else to create work for the animals and partially it is to understand my own feelings and use them in my work
